In keeping with the theme of the show, we kick it off with a nine family, side by side ride. The Ainsworth family was just one of nine that took a Sunday ride up the left fork of American Fork canyon. Jeremy says they had a lot of fun riding their side by sides and surely got out of the heat.

The Templeton family spent the weekend on the Duck Valley Indian Reservation, fishing Mountain View Reservoir. Joel’s oldest son Tanner thought he’d won the ten dollar biggest fish competition with this 21 and a 1/2 inch rainbow. But he was out done by his five year old little brother Ethan who landed this 24 inch monster.

During the spring break, two Westfield Elementary school teachers Steve Pratt and Justin Wise spent four days of fishing at Flaming Gorge. The first two days, the weather was cold and miserable, but on the third, the weather improved and did the fishing. Justin says, they caught 8 macks in two days, with the largest, this twenty four pound laker. He says it was a great trip spent with a good friend and colleague.

[CG :2 LineMikey LymanWhale of a tale]

Mickey and his grandfather have a whale of a tale with this huge Snake River sturgeon. Mikey latched into this massive nine foot, nine inch, nearly 500 pound pre-historic beast and says he and his grandfather drifted and fought the fish for over an hour before they were able to take a picture and release this giant fish.

[CG :2 LineKenny SmithWINNER!]

and finally our winner tonight arrowed his biggest bull to date. 24 year old Kenny Smith drew a limited entry archery elk tag on the Manti last year and with the help of his father Brook and uncle Shayne, Kenny shot this 380 class, seven by seven. Kenny says the hunt was extremely tough. The bulls didn’t start rutting until the last week and on the final day of his hunt with time winding down, the trio was able to stalk and then cow call this bull and his over 60 cows to a halt and Kenny made the perfect shot. Kenny says it is a memory, he’ll never forget and to help you remember, we’re sending you our big prize from Camp Chef for having just arrowed…our snapshot of the week.
