Snapshot of the Week: May 3, 2015

We kick it off with a slippery but fun day on the berry for the Francom family. Wyatt hit Strawberry one last time before ice off with the whole family. This cutt was ready to skip the picture and head back for the water. The fishing was good that day. The smiles even bigger.

This is Blaise on his first bowfishing trip. After many misses he finally hit what he thought was his first carp. Turned out, he hit two. Dad said, “no one will ever believe us” but they have the picture to prove it. A shot of a lifetime.

Brandon hunted this buck on the bow hunt, but missed him. He got a second chance at the buck ont eh muzzleloader season when he spotted him a mile away and made a perfect stalk to within 10 feet. The buck jumped up and the rest is history.

For the past two years, the Duke family has replaced Disneyland with an outdoor adventure. This year, they deep sea fished off the coast of the Catalina Islands. The water was crystal clear, as blue as the sky as they caught yellow tail, calico bass, red sheep head, white fish and barracuda. It was a great bonding experience for the whole family.

And finally our winner tonight will be doing back flips and pom poms after bagging her first turkey. Todd’s daughter Mac just found out that she had made the Freemont High Cheer squad, the next day she was on her limited entry turkey hunt. Father and daughter set their blind 200 yards from the turkeys roost, and finally had some hens come in, when Mac asked her dad if she could shoot that big tom that was destroying their decoy. Todd hadn’t seen the bird and said yeah go ahead. Todd couldn’t be more proud of his daughter who was just as excited as he was. Well Mac, congrats on the bird, making the squad and now our big prize as you two just landed our big prize for having…. the snapshot of the week.
