Utah Field Guide: Tundra Swan Day and Rock Creek Goat Watch

For tonight’s Utah field guide, we wanted to highlight two upcoming Division of Wildlife watchable wildlife events both happening Saturday March 14th. The first is the annual Tundra Swan day at the Salt Creek Waterfowl Management Area in Northern Utah.

Thousands of these pure white birds will be making their annual spring migration next month and Salt Creek WMA is a great place to view them. You’ll can also spot tundra swans at the Bear River Bird Refuge, and Farmington Bay Wildlife Management area.

The second is the Rock Creek Mountain Goat Watch, again happening on Saturday March 14th. Rock Creek is Northwest of Mountain Home in Northeastern Utah. This event is free and will run from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Biologists will be on hand with spotting scopes and information about the goats.

For more information on both events, be sure to check out our Outdoors Calendar Page on our website at KSLTV.com.
