Winter Fly Fishing on the Provo River in Single Digit Temperatures

Most fly fishers hang up their rods for the winter months, but there’s no reason to do that. Cold may be tough to deal with for the angler, but the fish are still biting! So we joined Andrew Seegmiller with Rocky Mountain Outfitters to brave freezing lines and fingers to catch trout on the Middle Provo River. We talk about why anglers should fly fish in the winter, the best time of day to go, and what flies to use from streamers to nymphs, and dry flies when the hatch goes off.
