On a recent trip to Yellowstone seen some great wildlife including this Bison with her calf.
Two wild mustangs battle for dominance or maybe just a little sunset play in the West Desert of Utah. The light turns magical as the sun drops to the horizon and the dust is kicked up by horse play.
Fred hunted and shot this buffalo on a private ranch in Tabiona, Utah this April. He can cross buffalo off his bucket-list of North American Big Game now, and the meat is delicious!
My granddaughter, twelve year old Rylee Baird, hunted and shot this bear in Alberta, Canada this week while hunting with her dad, Benjamin. She is a good shot and loves hunting and shooting with her sad.
Spring is finally reaching Bear Lake. Such a beautiful day and I’ll never tire of this view.

Nothing, in my opinion, is more fun than the crappie spawn at Utah Lake, and since I live extremely close to the Provo Marina, I take advantage of my backyard opportunities! One day when I was out, the bite was exceptionally slow and I wasn’t catching a thing! I was about to move spots when, sure enough, my bobber dipped. After setting the hook and a three-minute fight, I realized I’d landed a giant! To call this 20ish inch, 6-pound Largemouth my PB would have been an understatement larger than the fish itself! This giant bass could’ve eaten my previous 1lb PB for breakfast! I could fit my whole fist in its bucket-sized mouth. What made the experience all the sweeter was that a few friends were fishing nearby and came down to join me! After this fish, I was able to fill my stringer with some great-sized, delicious crappie and had an incredible afternoon with some of my best fishing buddies at the lake! I can’t wait to break my PB again and spend more time out with the people I enjoy most. (I also accidentally submitted this record a few minutes ago but forgot to include all of the photos so please ignore that one, thanks 😉
My buddy Bruce and I both were laid up all winter, Bruce from back surgery and me from a broken leg. Best snow in years and we haven’t been able to snowmobile. So we are now taking advantage of the huge amount of snow still on the mountain to get a few rides. This is a campground toilet at the top of Wolf Creek Pass on the Duchesne Highway taken on May 6, 2023. Looks like we’ll be able to get a few more rides in over the next couple of months!!
Dad took me on my first sturgeon fishing trip on the snake river with Jones sportsman’s guide service , caught my first sturgeon that was 7 ft 9 inches, took me 20 minutes to land with help from the guide Joe wiener boating skills, in all we landed 5 fish total the biggest was 8ft 1 inch caught by another angler Jeff who also landed one that was 7 ft 7 inch my dad and I both landed smaller ones mine was 5 ft and my dad was 4 and half ft.
