Got these turkeys a couple days after the General season hunt started. My friend got his on the first day of the youth and it was just me and him that went out hunting, my dad stayed home busy with work. I think its cool that two 16 years olds were able to go out and not need a grown man to help them get a turkey. The morning of the general season hunt started, my dad was able to get the biggest tom in the area which had a 8 inch beard on him. After giving the turkeys some pressure, we decided to wait a couple days before going back out in the morning with my uncle and me and my unle were finally able to get us each a turkey.
Cody was able to harvest this great black bear in Utah. Cody’s grandfather drew the tag and mentored the tag to Cody. Thanks to great friends and family!

BBD or birthday bird down. My birthday wish came true and I was able to harvest this awesome bird on my birthday. It happened quickly as I realized the hens were only 40 yards from me as I watched this guy come running to his hens. I pulled up and shot him, he toppled over got his wings and flew across the canyon I thought it was lost. I heard him flap his wings one last time and knew he was down. I marked my phone on On-x and decided I would do all I could to recover him. I started hiking down to him, after about 30 minutes I walked right to him. Ecstatic I was able to harvest my first Tom on my birthday, and still make it home early enough to head to the river and fish. What an awesome birthday!
After 25 years of hunting with my family and putting in for elk tags—year after year—I finally drew my once-in-a-lifetime tag. I was 72 years old, and the hunt took place in the mountains of Koosharem, Utah. We’ve shared a lot of memories in the mountains, but nothing prepared us for this. This hunt topped them all. Opening night, with my whole family by my side, I brought down a 352-point bull. One clean shot. But what made it feel like fate was what happened the day before—we spotted that same elk. We hoped he’d still be around, but after a long day of searching with no sign, we nearly gave up. Then, just as we were heading back to camp, there he was. Right place, right time—and a memory I’ll carry for the rest of my life.

We made a birthday trip down south for the weekend looking for some fun fish to catch, and boy we were not dissapointed! Piper can’t quiet throw the lures out by herself, but she can retrieve them. We keep the drag light just in case if she catches a big one it won’t pull her in. After casting her lure out and walking over to my rod I herd her drag go like crazy. I went to help and she was convinced it was a shark because it was so big! After fighting for what it seemed like an eternity we finally landed it in the net! A new personal best that probably won’t be beaten for a long time! 27in 5.8lbs!
