Hi Adam, On a last minute decision we decided to hit Flaming Gorge last Saturday afternoon as there was a break in the storms! Right as we were about to load up for the day we snagged this little trout. My husband Austin was so excited for our 3 year old son Jake to see his first fish.! Thank you to you and your show, it’s great to watch as a family and teach our 3 and 6 year old to appreciate the outdoors and how fortunate we are to live in Utah!
This was Savannah’s first deer hunt. She went down on the Early Season deer hunt with her Dad Lorenzo and Uncle Dan. After a long day of not seeing anything, Lorenzo told savannah to start cleaning up and he was going to go talk to his brother who was in a different location. While Savannah was alone cleaning up, she saw a buck 300 yards away and grabbed her gun and shot it. What she thought was a good shot, she wasn’t sure if it dropped seeing it went behind a tree. When her dad got back after hearing the gun shot and finding out what happened, they went in search of the deer. Lorenzo went one way and savannah thinking her deer was the other way separated from her dad in search of her deer. Low and behold savannah found her deer on her own. For her first hunt ever and only being 13 years old, she can say she spotted her deer, made a clean shot, and found her deer all by herself. Something the whole family is still in shock about.

My 17 year quest for a good bull has ended. My Brother Rick guided me on my LE Fish Lake muzzle loader tag, opening morning bulls were going crazy & then went silent, day 2 started quiet as well but this one made the mistake and Rick called him into my lap a 10 yard shot and it was over. Beautiful country great fishing & fantastic hunt.

13 Oct 2025 – At Little Reservoir up Beaver Canyon. Tiger trout somehow caught on dorsal fin (?) with Jake’s lure (gold with red dots). Released after carefully removing hook from fin.
Oct 13, 2025 = 19 inch Brook Trout caught on Jake’s lure (yellow with red dots) at Lower Kent’s lake up Beaver Canyon.

This is my daughter Emily, she drew a fishlake bull tag this year, she drew that tag with only 6 points, super lucky! Her and her husband have been hunting hard since the opener, they got on a few different bulls but could never get a good shot on one. They found this bull Saturday morning feeding around and was able to get within 400 yards for a shot and sealed the deal. This is her first elk she’s ever taken. The smile on her face says it all!! Would be cool to see her on your show. Thanks!
