Navajo Lake
Ice is off, access is good and the splake fishing is great! Biologist Mike Hadley reports a lot 16-20 inch splake are being caught, even a few up to 5 lbs! He says, use golf ball sized chub meat on a #4 hook and fish the deeper portions of the lake.
Rockport Reservoir
Good Anglers report good fishing from the shore using PowerBait or worms. Boat anglers report good fishing using Rapalas, spinners or bait. The fish seem to be suspended in about 20 feet of water.
