Sportsmen step up to help Austin Bennett in life, and to help fulfill his dream of hunting wild turkeys.
This is the 14th year that the Pritchett family has been knocking on doors of special needs children to give them an early Christmas.
Today, they informed Austin and his family that he would be going on a fully guided spring turkey hunt and fishing trip to Strawberry Reservoir. Austin has always wanted to go on a turkey hunt, but his diagnosis with muscular dystrophy at age 7 made him unable to walk at 9 ½ years old.
Muscular dystrophy is a muscle degeneration disease that currently has no cure. But thanks to several generous donations, Austin’s dream of hunting wild turkeys was made a reality.
