Me and Nicholas McDaniel on Quichepa lake shooting some ducks! Had a good morning!
Opening morning of the deer hunt 2023 I know I’m a little late but I really hadn’t gone through any of my pictures until recently my son-in-law standing on top of a ridge with the beautiful sunrise

Jen’s 2023 el bull hunt. She started elk hunt 30 years ago on that hunt she seen her first elk in the wild and got to harvest a bull that year. 30 years later she finally got to harvest a mature bull. Having hunting all these year and harvest spikes and cows. She has the love and passion for elk hunting. That passion has evolved in years of volunteer work for the rmef where she is on the leaderships team, hoping to make a difference as her legacy for other elk hunters to enjoy these beautiful animals. What a beautiful moment for Jen to finally get to harvest a great mature bull.
My 12 year old twins Dean and Remington harvested their first bucks by pulling a double dropping both bucks on 70 yards apart with one shot each at 600 yards. We practiced all shooting all summer with grandpa and it truly made all the difference when preparation met opportunity.

Bruce and his buddy went up to Prince of Wales Eagle Lodge for a sea duck hunt and Alaska didn’t disappoint. They end up harvesting Surf Scooter, White Wing Scooter, Longtails, Harlequin, Barrows Goldeneye, Hooded Merganser and a few geese, all wall hangers. The bounty of Alaska never disappoints. We can’t wait to get back up there again!
