Loving this view!! Boys and Bird dogs today. These two surprised me with their willingness to walk a few miles to try our luck on birds. Came up empty handed for birds but a full limit of memories! Great to be out with the dogs and them hunting for spent shells left behind. Picked up plenty to help clean the wetlands.
Noah and his Grandpa making sure Thanksgiving is done right! Noah is so thankful for his grandpa teaching him all about hunting and especially Thankful for helping him provide the “Bird for Thanksgiving table.” Grandpa Rick is Thankful for being able to teach his beloved Grandson the love of hunting.
Big bucks passing on good genes under the moonlight. Annual Henry mountains ride never disappoints!

Fishing at Panguitch lake just before last week’s storms. Was 14 degrees when I got to the lake, the sun came out and warmed up nicely. The fish were active and was a beautiful day. Caught and released many trout mostly Rainbows and Cutthroats. Didn’t catch any tigers this time out. But this beautiful cutthroat couldn’t resist a brown wooley bugger fished on weighted line on a slow retrieve. P.S. Adam, I met you up on the Desseret ranch last year. We were hunting deer and you were guiding for elk, and appreciated your pointers. Love your show and watch every week. Shane
James has been a quadriplegic for over 7 years. He has very limited hand function. He was given a sheep hunt from Chairbound Sportsman. We got him in our RZR and took him out in the field. Found the sheep and got James in his wheelchair. Set him up with his gun and he was able to take the sheep with a single shot.

The Blue Jays and the Owl Well, you don’t see this every day!! We have a pair of blue scrub jays who visit every morning to receive their daily dose of peanuts. They are very friendly and have adopted us as their own. Sometimes they are quiet, just hanging out among the trees patiently waiting to be fed but other times they can be very noisy, letting us know it’s time to eat, as they swoop in closely above our heads and loudly announce its way past time for breakfast. Today they were uncommonly noisy and putting up quite a fuss. Out came the peanuts which were placed in the regular places for them to find. After they had picked up all the nuts, the two birds seemingly did not fly away. Instead, they continued to hop from tree to tree, screeching at something in the apple tree. My husband began to investigate the noisy birds and noticed a very different sight hidden in the apple tree branches. At first, it was kind of an odd little blob and not very distinguishable as it blended well among the leaves and twigs. As he got closer and closer, he saw two big dark eyes slowly opening and shutting. Much to his surprise an owl was well hidden and looked to have stopped to take a snooze. The two blues did not take kindly to this unexpected visitor, as they continued to screech and get closer to it, trying to get the owl to leave. But it didn’t move and didn’t pay much attention to the noisy birds. It stayed for most of the day allowing us to watch closely and take pictures. The scrub jays finally gave up on their quest to make the intruder leave and flew away, but the little owl stayed to rest for the day, then quietly slipped away as the sun began to set. It was a fun experience as you don’t often see a flammulated owl casually resting in a residential area. It’s amazing the wildlife you can find in your very own backyard. Explanation of the pictures 2403 is one of the jays picking up his nut 1456 is the undistinguishable blob 1467 is the little owl
