The “Ring of Fire” eclipse provided a unique chukar hunting background for Dave, his Griffons, and friends. We hit a large covey about the same time as the eclipse occurred, and made memories to last a lifetime.
Duck hunting was a little slow but the breath taking sunrise made the trip worth it!

While out on the general elk hunt we couldn’t find the elk however we did find this guy. This brute of a buck stood there and posed for us knowing he was safe. Its seems to go that way for us finding the big elk during deer season and big deer during elk season.
I went to lake Powell this summer with my family for our yearly trip and I caught every species except yellow bull head catfish and pike but I can back after casting my rod to eat lunch and the chair it was sitting on fell over and my rod was getting dragged into the water so I hoped off our boat and I ran over and got my biggest channel cat to this day and it was an amazing fight and a pretty fish when I was getting the hook out there was another hook from a past fisherman so I successfully removed both hooks and released him safely
Less than a month before the start of the hunt, Ted Bailey received a call from the UT DWR informing him that someone had turned in their once-in-a-lifetime mountain goat tag, and that he was the next eligible alternate. Accompanied by his 3 best friends and 2 trusty llamas, Ted packed 13 miles into Utah’s backcountry to shoot this old billy goat at 200 yards. The hunt was unforgettable, the weather was perfect, and the spawning Brooke trout were as colorful as the fall foliage.
