We took my husbands brand new boat on its maiden voyage to deer creek. It started out foggy and cold and end up beautiful. Even though we had a close encounter with a helicopter. On our annual utah elk hunt trip, we stopped by otter creek state park. We quickly saw this youngster shorefishing, so we watched. He soon hooked into this nice rainbow, & all by himself he calmly got it to shore. He handled this like a seasoned pro. What a young allstar!. He also just recently harvested a nice buck via muzzleloader. If this is chosen, please contact me for his name. He & family live in cedar city and also watch ksl outdoors. My name Brandon I am Luke’s Dad . This is his 2nd hunt But first time muzzloader deer hunting. He was hunting with his cousin Andrew . They both wanted me to take them in the high country as both of them want try and get a 4 point and see the fall colors fom up high the two boys Luke and Andrew and I jumped 3 bucks .we tracked the bucks off the rock slides and was able to catch up and Luke was able to make a good shot on the one 4 point and it slowly walked over the two boys slowly eased there way to were they last seen the buck go over the hill and as they crested the hill. They spotted the buck down . Both boys were excited and jumping for excitement as started checking out Luke’s buck. This was Luke’s 2nd buck they seen lots of deer and bucks it was a fun and exciting hunt Andrew’s little Brother was able to take his first buck His Name is james they had a great time hunting together and will continue to Look forward to next year.
After 10 years I drew the limited entry muzzle loader tag with the help of good friends l bagged this bull on day 6 at 62 it was the hunt of a lifetime it was my first ever elk hunt
