My 15yr old, Cooper, was enjoying the opening evening of the youth Chucker hunt. He had to find a new hunting partner this year because his older brother is serving in Guam for two years. He decided to take his sisters dog, Pepper, since she is serving in Spain for 18 months and could not tell him no. These two had a successful hunt getting the daily limit. Dad was sick so mom got to tag along and captured this great moment.

It was a beautiful fall day and these beautiful sisters were not disappointed fishing at in Fairview canyon. Looks they they caught a couple of keepers. Blue skies and rainbows. A great day!

Wow, what a year I’ve had hunting. First of all, on June 7, 2023, hunting with Cayuse Outfitters in Idaho, I bagged one of the biggest bears ever taken with them. He was just 1/2 inch short of 7 feet. He had been in a fight, and his head was scratched and bitten up. An outfitter stated that a sow said no means no. Haha. Then, in September, after applying for a moose tag for 26 years, I finally got my chance to take a moose. On the opening morning, we had a small bull run around us and go towards a bigger bull we had picked out. He had two cows with him. The small bull moved down the path we were going to, and he kept stopping and watching us. As we came around the hill and went to a small tree, the small moose ticked off the larger moose, which made it come down to us. He was racking trees and grunting all the way. Small moose made a live decoy. After the larger moose was dead on the ground, smaller moose stood over him. What a year it has been.
I was able to sight fish this war torn hog! Once in a life time experience.
