I got an early start on hiking the Cottonwood Canyons, to beat the crowds. I was walking up from the Alta parking lot and through Albion Basin, headed over to Big Cottonwood Canyon, with a light rain coming down. I was there at just the right time and the combination of the rain and the sunrise made for a spectacular scene.
I was on a summer trip with the All American Hero Foundation as a volunteer to help disabled veterans, and we went on a sunrise ride in the sawtell mountains and while we watched the sun rise these mountain goats snuck up on us so i took a picture with the sun shining on the amazing backdrop behind them.
First fishing trip in Alaska for Allex (age 11). After the second silver was landed, Allex said his legs were shaking. Two 29” heavy salmon.

My son Preston Mikesell got his first deer with a muzzleloader when he was 12 years old we waited all morning trying to get a clear shot and when we finally had one he took it dropping it almost immediately.
