18 year old Kannin Boswell of Salina, has hunted and fished his whole life. When his dad, Chance treated him to a graduation surprise trip to Hawaii, he was looking to relax after a fall that he made First team all state in football as well as taking 3rd in State Wrestling. They found a charter, got strapped in and come out of it with this 165 lbs Marlin that took near 2 hours to reel in.

Beautiful snowy sunrise of the loafer mountain in Payson, UT on the drive to work. Makes my commute a little less boring!
My dad and I were hunting this area on the chalk creek unit. We had buck tags as well as control cow and bull permits on the rifle in October. We spotted a huge buck late in the evening on Wednesday late in the hunt, couldn’t get a shot so the next day we were back up in the same area at first light looking for the buck when a heard of elk came out into a steep mountain side clearing. 4 cows came out first. After waiting for a couple minutes for the bull to step out I decided to shoot a cow at about 20 yards. The other 3 cows didn’t spook and about 5 minutes later this bull stepped out at around 100 yards uphill and I was able to harvest the bull as well. We spent the next couple days packing out elk and couldn’t have been happier with the harvest and have been eating elk dinners ever since.
