After hunting almost every weekend with my neighbor, archery to early rifle, on the last day I could hunt I spotted this buck at 500 yards I put on stalk and got to 200 yards spotted the deer and put him down! My neighbor, sitting where we first spotted the deer, started hootin and hollarin when he saw the deer go down!

Bucket list hunt with bucket list birds & buck. Hunting Kodiak Island has been a life long dream for me & my brother Rick. This year at the expo we ran into Jerry Munson of Foxtail Lodge in Larsen bay & booked our hunt for 6 guys, friend’s & family both. Hunting Kodiak in December is TOUGH however frozen hillsides & thick beyond belief alders made things even worse but we were able to get it done anyway. A 417 yard shot by my Brother Rick & his buck went down, recovery was miserable but felt fantastic when we got it done. We both harvested long tails(old squaw) harlequin’s & barrows golden eye as well. A great trip with awesome memories for a lifetime.

After a successful hunt with my 9 year old son Knox and 4 year old lab Ace it was time for my son to pick up the decoys for his first time. I bought him some waders this year and he was all for stomping through the mud to pick up decoys. And man what a sunset I was able to grab while he was out picking up the decoys.

So proud of my, at the time 12 year old daughter Mckelle for making a perfect 320 yard shot on her first buck. I have 3 girls and to see one of them Cherish what I love, brings a tear toy eye. So proud of her. She loves being outdoors with dad.
Beautiful sunrise while out hunting swans. The sunrise was epic and so was the tundra swan that I was able to harvest. 1 shot with the 20 gauge and it was over.
