As we pulled up to park the pick ups and horse trailers, another hunter, and a guide we’re just going out of sight down the trail the same way that we were headed by the time we got ready to go we was about 45 minutes behind them we started down the trail. We made it about 4 1/2 miles as we started hearing shots come up to the top of the ridge we stepped off. Our horses started scanning towards where the shots were coming from, and there stood to loan bulls we split our group. Some of them stayed up on the hill so they could spot for us. We took off to try to get a closer look as we started to near the edge of the flat one of the guys on the hill said we needed to hurry up that The other guys are starting to walk out towards the other bull so we picked up our pace we made it may be 100 yards and he come back on the radio and said no you guys really need to hurry so we took off on a full run up the wash got up to the edge of the flat to where the bulls were, walked out and laid down in a sage brush ranged him at 558 yards. We watched the second bull now my buddy said wait and let make sure we get a good look at him! He (the second bull) was rooting and bunting the down bull and me looking through my scope saw that the second bull was just what I was looking for told the guys with me nope good bull and pulled the trigger first shot was a little bit high chambered another bullet by now he had put it in reverse about 20 feet turned around as he turned broad side I shot again placing the shot right in the sweet spot he sat on his butt looked up at the sky and fell over sideways! 24 points and 25 years waiting on a tag for this ole kid! Henry Mountain Bison hunters choice 558 yard shot with a 300 PRC I have tons more pictures and videos I would love to share thank you! Love your show my boys and I watch it every week!!
