Fishing this summer in Seward Alaska. Catching halibut in rockfish off the bottom. Realed up a yellow eye rock fish with this octopus attached to it. It kept suction cupping to the bottom of the boat, when we tried to put it back. After it walked the boat for a little while and calmed down it was released. I always told people that I was going to catch the Kraken, but this time I did. So much fun.
October 29th, after a tuff morning trying to get out on the mountain we made it to the mountain set up to scout for deer, my dad spotted 2 bucks 3 ridges away my dad, mom and I set out a plan to get down to these deer. While dad stayed back keeping a close eye on the deer mom and I started out driving over a ridge then walking out down a very steep oakbrush hill side. My mom and I closed in on the 2 deer 180 yards out so set up and did a 1-2-3 countdown to shoot mom missed but I got this nice 3×5.

Wren Rodgers (8 years old) drew a swan tag and this past weekend he bagged this big, mature Tundra Swan with his little 20 gauge. I was able to capture his shot and amazing reaction on video (see attached video and photos)! His excitement on video is priceless! Other adult hunters in the area were trying to knock down the swans, but little Wren took one shot and was the only hunter to make it count. We were thinking that you may want to feature this swan video (and photos) on one of your upcoming shows. Please let us know if you have any questions or need additional videos or photos. If you’d like to interview Wren about this experience, I’m sure he’d enjoy doing so. When I was a kid Doug Miller interview me with a big archery buck I had shot and it was an experience I’ll never forget. Wren is obsessed with the outdoors and loves your show, so he’d be ecstatic about any type of involvement. Also, Wren was featured on your Snapshot Of The Week on November 5th. Is there a way to get a copy of that video clip that we could save? He would love it! Thanks! FYI – The short video clip wouldn’t upload, so let me know if there is a better way to send it.

After 27 years of putting in for once in a lifetime moose tag, I finally drew it. Shot this moose on the Wasatch unit on October 9th ,2022 with a lot of help from my family and friends. My good little buddy Paxton Hooley decided to give the old Bull a thank you kiss while being held up by my son Conner. It was quite the memory and I know why they call it once in a lifetime!

Ryker really wanted to find a rooster walked over a mile with dad, but didn’t like all the brush hitting him in the face.
Hiking to delicate arch. Photo with my son when a raven decided to photo bomb us.
Took 23 years to draw my Limited Entry Elk for late rifle on Boulder. I hired High Top Outfitters to help ensure my success!! With guide Jason Porter, we set up on a bull opening morning that we had seen the day before. He never showed up and we found this bull farther up the canyon. We made a stalk on him and he slipped over the rim. We regrouped, broke out the maps and went after him. We busted trail in the almost 2′ of snow at times and cut his tracks. We figured we’d try to hit some vantage points on the way back to camp on our way back to camp. The first ridge we went out we turned him up bedded in some thick quakies. We made a 700 yard stalk on him. Set up on him multiple times and finally we had a shooting lane through the trees. Threaded the needle with a well placed shot and the rest is history!! Had an amazing experience, got a great bull and made a life long friend in my guide!! Bull taped out at 340″!! I couldn’t be happier!!
