First deer My daughter Sophie went through hunters safety about a year ago, but we didn’t get it done in time for the fall hunts. So this was her first opportunity to go on a hunt. After making sure the gun was sighted in a few week ago she kept on asking what the plan was, take a deer of course. My hopes were high, but you never know if it will happen. Fast forward to opening day and we are on the mountain and Sophie asks what my chance is for getting a deer, in my head i am thinking 25%, but I say pretty good. Well the plan we put in place came together perfectly and she made a perfect shot at 317 yardsto take her first deer. Her brother and I were watching when she shot and could not believe the deer dropped right where he stood. We all celebrated withhugs and hooping and hollering. It is a day we will never forget.

A Brithday Gift My dad (David) and I (Tucker) had a fantastic day of fishing on Rockport, catching a bunch of rainbows for my dad’s birthday. But to top it all off, my dad hooked into a huge 20 inch chunky rainbow trout. It was a great day on the water, and a great way for us to celebrate my dad’s birthday.
