We kick it off with 9 year old Gage Abshire and this awesome 31 1/2 inch 11lb mac he landed out of Bear Lake. Gage has never been happier than when he finally got to pull this huge fish out of the ice. Luckily they were able to capture Gage’s great catch on film so they’ll be able to relive and enjoy the experience for years to come.

In the marshes of Ogden Bay, Dave’s son Bailey was able to fill his first swan tag this year. Dave says that Bailey was so excited about his first swan that he almost made the retrieve before his dog Max could even get to the bird. Dave is proud of his son, who has a great passion for waterfowl hunting, he’s happy that Bailey was thrilled with his first big white bird.

In January, Rick and Lori Perry took the adventure of a lifetime, a photo safari in the Serengeti. While out, they were able to witness as a female cheetah, with her cubs close by, stalked and killed a Thompson’s Gazelle. After the kill, mom and cubs enjoyed the meal as Rick and Lori were able to enjoy capturing the moment with this photo.

While filling a September doe antelope tag in Rich County, Brent Allred encountered some very unusual behavior. As Brent harvested his doe, a buck from the same group decided to stick around. As the buck lingered 10-20 yards away scraping the ground menacingly with its hooves and horns, Brent’s friend Rick kept a watchful eye. Despite the unnerving episode, the experience did allow Brent and Rick ample opportunities to get in some really unique snapshots.

But our winner tonight has caught another 10 plus pound brown trout to add to his Brown Bag. Using 12 pound test, a hand painted lure he painted himself, and being wrapped around a tree several times, Matt finally was able to bring in this giant brown trout to the shores of Jordanelle. This 32 1/2 inch 21 1/2 pound brown is exactly the kind of monster that Matt says only bites on the nasty days when no one else dares to go out. In the deep reservoirs of Utah, Matt delights in the challenges that monster browns like this…. Present. No doubt a giant of the depths, worthy of our great prize Matt, as you just won our snapshot of the week.
