Tonight’s snapshots are all about the catch. Check out the huge four pound smallmouth that Keani Munford caught at Otter Creek. We actually ran into the Munfords back on Memorial day. it was great to see kids catching some fish and good ones at that.

The Templeton family spent the weekend on the Duck Valley Indian Reservation, fishing Mountain View Reservoir. Joel’s oldest son Tanner thought he’d won the ten dollar biggest fish competition with this 21 and a 1/2 inch rainbow. But he was out done by his five year old brother Ethan who landed this 24 inch monster.

Six year old Brayden Bateman caught this four pound bow at Starvation while fishing for walleye. At first he wasn’t that impressed until he saw how big it was. Then to top off the day, he reeled in this five and a half pound walleye. Pretty good day if you ask me.

Suzanne and her husband don went to visit Suzanne’s sister in Key Largo, Florida. To their surprise sister Nan had arranged to take them fishing. Suzanne says the reef they fished in the Gulf Stream was incredibly calm. They saw logger head turtles, man-o-war jelly fish, a boil of black fin, but the biggest thrill of the day was when Suzanne latched into this beautiful mahi mahi! Her biggest fish to date, and a great memory.

But our winner tonight caught her biggest fish to date and almost topped dear ol’ grandpa (Terry Stephenson). Jaida and her grandpa have an on going fishing contest. Right off the bat, Jaida ripped into this 31 inch Yuba northern. But, later in the day, grandpa won the contest when he reeled in a 34 inch whopper. Jaida, you may not have beat your grandpa, but with that great smile, you won our contest for having our… snapshot of the week.
