Colter Card waited 20 years to draw a Henry Mountain bison tag. This was a late season cow tag so the animals have been pressured for a while. Colter and his Dad, Dave, glassed up a very large, lone, cow the night before the hunt opened. With the stormy weather, the sky’s and vistas were unbelievably beautiful. When the clouds finally made glassing possible in the afternoon of the first day, they were able to locate the cow again and put in a long stalk down the canyon and seal the deal. At times like this, you are grateful for a lot of good friends to help with the pack out. The Henry’s are amazingly wild with some truly beautiful country and animals. Thanks to all those who helped!

I was lucky after 20 years to draw my desert sheep tag here in Utah this year. After several scouting trips and trips hunting we loaded up the boat and went up Lake Powell and found this great ram! We looked over a lot of sheep, caught a lot of fish, and glassed a lot of miles and found this great ram. I was lucky to have my wife and boys with me when we killed my ram making some once in a lifetime memories!!
