I had a bucket list wish to make the trip from Wahweep up to Bullfrog in the fishing boat I’ve been working on. After lots of preparation I finally made the trip last weekend! It was a little chilly, but absolutely beautiful. I saw lots of glassy water, beautiful reflections, and incredible scenery, but over three days, and 200 miles on the water I never saw another boat! Lake Powell may be low, but its a special place and definitely worth the effort to make the trip!
My first fish ice fishing at Strawberry Reservoir this season, sharing the moment with my boyfriend Quintin and our sweet dog Hazel made it even more unforgettable. Pulled this beautiful 21 inch cutthroat through the ice and couldn’t stop smiling, memories I’ll cherish forever.

On the final day of goose season, I was tucked into a layout blind in a cornfield, surrounded by 12 dozen goose decoys, hoping for one last chance. Not a single goose came in — but instead, nearly 200 tundra swans suddenly dropped into the field around me. For a few hours, I stayed still and watched as they gathered, fed, and called to one another. It was one of those unexpected outdoor moments that ends up being far better than the original plan.”
Took my wife’s parents and our two boys up to see the elk at hardware ranch back im January when the elk first came to the ranch. My 2 boys loved it theyve been obsessed with elk since I harvested a cow back in november this year. The elk up on the ranch were still a little unsettled being they hadn’t been there too long yet. Some of the cows were a little on edge with each other giving us some shows with a little boxing. These 2 worked out their differences and went on their way.

Ice fishing strawberry. My son scooter had had enough and needed bit of shut eye. He loves getting out on the ice with me. It had been a long day

Raylee’s Relentless Pursuit – 2025 Some seasons test you. Others define you. For Raylee, 2025 became the year that proved what preparation, grit, and heart can accomplish when opportunity meets relentless drive. With her grandfather Ron entering her into multiple Utah hunts, Raylee wasn’t just hoping to participate — she was determined to compete with herself and rise to every challenge. Long before the season opened, she committed to the work. Hours on the range turned into muscle memory. Early mornings and disciplined practice sharpened her focus. Every shot carried intention. Every day-built confidence. When the tags came through — Swan, Sandhill Crane, and a general buck deer — Raylee stepped into the field ready. She harvested her buck first, calm and composed. The Sandhill followed, then the Swan, each taken cleanly on the first shot. No wasted motion. No hesitation. Just execution earned through preparation. Filling every tag in a single season is rare. Doing it with precision and poise is something else entirely. The photos tell the story best: the unmistakable smile of a young hunter who didn’t just have a lucky year — she chased it, worked for it, and claimed it. 2025 wasn’t simply a successful season. It was a breakthrough year, a milestone that marks the rise of a determined young hunter whose pursuit is only just beginning.
