Camp Chef Snapshot of the Week – 05/26/2012

[CG :2 LineKaylee and Kami DahlTagged you’re it!]

We kick it off with one of seven tagged fish caught at the Rafter B Fishing Challenge this year. Sisters Kaylee and Kami were so excited to get out for their first trip of the year. They spent the day on the boat with Great Grandpa, Grandpa and their daddy. They had a ton of fun and caught six rainbows, one of which was tagged and won them a two hundred and fifty dollar gift certificate to Rockport State Park. Fishing with Grandpas is sure good luck.

[CG :2 LineKyle WeltyMonster Tibblefork Brown!]

The picture quality may not be the best, but the fish and the story is top notch. Kyle sent us these photos of his nephews’ huge brown trout he caught up at Tibblefork reservoir earlier this month. Kyle’s nephew has been telling him for months how he couldn’t wait to catch a fish he could hold with two hands, the big brown stretched the tape to 29 inches, I’d say he met his goal, with inches to spare.

Shane had a great trip to Scofield with his two boys Marshal and Wyatt. Young Wyatt loved the fish, loved holding and releasing them even more. He only wanted dad’s help when it came to getting the fish in hand, so he could throw it back into the water. Shane says, Wyatt now stand at their front door holding his fishing hat asking dad, “Fish, Dad, Fish?.” Dad says this is one of the greatest fishing trips he’s ever had, just seeing his boys enjoy the outdoors as much as he does.

Check out the giant lake trout Aaron and his friends caught recently at the gorge. Aaron says it was a cold morning, but the action was hot as they landed well over 30 fish in just a few hours. They were fishing with Conquest Expedition guides Bruce and Marjie and say they make this trip every year and plan on making it for many more to come.

[CG :2 LineRuss FryerWINNER!]

And finally our winner tonight has found a new found love for Lake Powell. Russ took his son Jacob down to Lake Powell for the first time this spring. Russ says, the fishing was fantastic, Jacob thought doubling up on bluegill was fun, that is until he hooked up with some largemouth, one of which pushed the scale to four pounds. Dad may have found a powell partner for life, but it’s Jacob who not only caught the catch of the trip, but now our big prize for having the snapshot of the week.

Remember submit your pictures and a brief explanation of your latest outdoor adventure on-line at KSLTV.com The winner each week will win one of Camp Chef’s new innovative products.
