Scout Troop 703 went up to Camp Loll for a high adventure. On one of the seven days they took a hike to Union Falls. It was a 20 mile round trip hike, but Jake says to see the falls, the hike was well worth it.

Mike was in the Black Hills Forest in South Dakota over the fourth of July checking out Mount Rushmore National Monument. He says just below Washington’s nose he caught mom, dad and these triplet mountain goats hanging out. Some very cute kids.

What a trooper! After the 7 hour drive and 2 days of fishing in the 90 degree Idaho weather, Tyler hooked into this monster, 33 inch, 15 pound steelhead. The Steelie took him for a ride. Dad says, the best part was when Tyler sacrificed his spot so dad could catch one, that never happened, but still a great fourth of July weekend for the Nielson boys.

Kasey was all smiles while camping and fishing down on the Boulder Mountains with his family. The family says they weren’t sure Kasey’s little rod was going to hold out when he latched into this beautiful 20 inch splake. It did and now Marcy says she’s not sure Tyler’s smile will ever go away.

[CG :2 LineJason HansenTerrific tiger]

Check out the huge four and a half pound tiger trout Jason landed the other day. He tells us he and his buddy Scott went out to an Eastern Utah lake and caught of bunch of great fish and some great memories. He didn’t tell us what lake they were fishing and I don’t blame him one bit!

[CG :2 LineLarry OlsonWINNER!]

But our winner tonight is a fish of a lifetime, even if you’ve only been alive for 22 years! Larry tells us they took their Grandpa Ben Hatch out fishing at the Gorge for his birthday, but his 22 year old Grandson Troy stole the show… when he latched into this monster mack. It took Troy 45 minutes to land the fish, Grandpa Ben, Uncle Raymond and Larry could not have been more tickled than if they’d caught it themselves. Terry Collier of Flaming Gorge Fishing Co had the boys into fish all day. This beast tipped the scales right at 50 pounds. Larry says it was awesome watching that fish swim away after a good fight, and to help you boys remember Troy’s catch we’re sending you our big prize for having the snapshot of the week.
