We kick it off with a huge buck for one little girl. Brinley Richards took this 37 inch wide monster muley on a northern region, general season unit, one day after her 12th birthday. Dad says, ol Brinley passed up several smaller bucks prior to pulling the trigger on this once in a lifetime buck.
Whitnee and Ariah made their first treed lion together. Now that might not sound like a big deal, but Whitnee is 7 months pregnant and Ariah is only two. This cat jumped out of the tree two times before it stayed put long enough for Nick to leash up their two dogs and snap this picture of his girls. It was Nick’s best tree to date by far…
Check out this beautiful shot Ryan sent to us on a cool morning up at Strawberry back in December. Ryan was there with his dad, his two brothers and their new brother-in-law. He says they caught 10 fish, it was a great day out on the ice, with just the guys.
The day after Christmas, Jason and his wife loaded up the kids and headed to Minersville to do a little fishing. When this monster rainbow his the ice, four year old Evelyn took one look and proclaimed. “WOW dad, look at that, it sure is a beauty!”
2013 turned out to be a lucky year for Garett, as he pulled his once in a lifetime goat tag after 11 years. Garett had his number one hunting partner to help him scout, his five year old daughter Ayda. Ayda had to go to school the week dad took off for the hills, but she did give the old man a good luck kiss and it paid off with this beautiful 10 inch mountain goat. A hunt and memories that will last dad and daughter a lifetime.
But our winner tonight had a close encounter with a curious coyote. Reese took a drive up Big Cottonwood canyon to try his luck a flinging a fly in the river. He looked up the cliff above him to find this coyote posing for a picture. Reese says the coyote bed down and watched him fish all day. Quite the experience to have such a cagy critter so close Reese, I’m sure it made your day. Here’s another surprise, our big prize for having our snapshot of the week.
