Camp Chef Snapshot of the Week – 1/21/2012

While fishing Scofield, Alyson stepped away from her rod, only to have a fish bite and take her rod down the hole. Taylor dropped his line down to try and snag Alyson’s and ended up catching a fish instead. Upon further inspection they notice a line coming out of the fishes mouth. You guess it, Taylor had caught the very fish that had taken Alyson’s rod. They not only caught over 20 fish, but a great story to tell for years to come.

Rachel out fished everyone at Bear Lake a few weeks ago by catching this nice 30 inch 10lb Lake Trout, on the rock pile. It took her 10min to get it in the boat but she did it. Rachel also caught 2 cutthroats, about 5 lbs each. The family says they had action all day long.

Here’s a memory the Seat family won’t soon forget. Young Skyler was out hunting with his dad and grandpa when he was able to down his first ever goose. He not only did it once, but again to claim his first limit. A great memory indeed.

Kylee didn’t expect to see much on his general elk hunt, but still decided to run up to the Uintas, just for the day and he ended up bagging this great six by six. His only way to get it back home was to quarter it and load it into his trunk of his Corolla. Bet that was a sight to behold on the drive home.

Check out the 30 inch, 10 pound brown trout Titus caught at East Canyon the day after Christmas Titus says he was having a pretty good day when he noticed a fish on his finder just off the bottom. He latched into the beast, brought it up and knew he had a wall hanger. Turns out his brown is just two inches off the state catch and release record. A fish of a lifetime.

But our winner tonight is a tip of the hat to a great waterfowl season. Brad and his son Kyle were out for one last duck hunt at Farmington Bay when Brad downed this great mallard with 4 curls. Brad’s been training his new one year old lab Zoey and the lab is working out great. He says it was a banner year, he and his son are already looking forward to next years opener. Well Brad here’s something to take with you on the opener, our great prize for having the snapshot of the week.
