Isaac had a great time on the muzzle loader hunt with his dad this year. Isaac claims all the credit for dad’s success. He was getting tired and cold and asked his dad to take him back when they came upon this nice buck. Isaac says getting the dear was fun, but spending time with dad in the outdoors was even better.
The 2012 general season muzzloader hunt was a great success for 13 year Jake and his dad Ned. Father and son were hunting together when two bruisers popped out on the ridge. Ned dropped a nice 4 point and Jake took this 31″ 5×6. Ned’s brother Dave sent these pictures and says he’s one proud uncle.
How often do you here someone say, I shot a nice two point? Well 13 year old Trey has really shot a nice one. He was hunting on this years muzzleloader hunt and well he made a great 70 yard shot and downed his first buck.
Jason got this picture of this wide buck on his trail camera only to see him disappear on this years archery deer hunt. Finally on the last day of the hunt, he spotted the buck and with one tight shot between some trees, he finally was standing over this 31 and a half inch wide five point.
Three generations of Jensen boys were out on this years muzzleloader hunt and boy did they find some success. Young Hunter was up early, got to listen to some bulls bugle, even watched as dad took a shot at a coyote. One evening while checking some springs, they found this nice buck and as you can tell Hunter was pretty excited.
And finally our winner tonight is a picture worthy of a postcard. Aynn was with her friend Anita as they tried to locate some horses for a ride on Anita’s family property up Bear Canyon. As they rounded a bend Aynn stopped to take a picture of the fall colors when these three deer hoped out of the trees and Aynn snapped these great shots. Aynn says they never found the horses, never got to ride, but their day wasn’t a bust as she got these beautiful pictures and now our great prize for having our Camp Chef, snapshot of the week.
