[CG :2 LineKiera CrosbyAll by herself]

Fishing with her dad and sister, nine year old Kiera insisted on doing everything all by herself. She chose a wooly bugger, started stripping it back and latched into this 26 inch rainbow. The big bow ran Kiera into her backing twice and Kiera couldn’t stop shaking after landing the fish.

[CG :2 LineJohn GustinComeback Buck]

Following a huge comeback win over Springville and scoring 35 unanswered points, Salem Hills High head coach Joel Higginson and father and assistant coach, John Gustin drove all night to Idaho with Porter and Gunnar Gustin and scored big with two incredible bucks on public land. A couple of monster muleys that put huge smile on these boys faces.

Blair Tuttle wanted to set the mood for the upcoming Halloween season so he took his horse face out to chase big trout and wouldn’t you know the mask proved to be a good luck charm as he ended up hooking into this big brown.

[CG :2 LineEllis Bruch (bru)Retrieving Fool]

Last year, Ellis’s brother Evan rescued this chocolate lab named Jersey. Evan worked with the dog all summer and ol’ Jersey has turned out to be quite the retrieving fool! This was her first trip out and Jersey not only retrieved Evan’s birds, but another hunter birds too. Turns out, Jersey and Evan have saved each other.

But our winner tonight shot a bull on the youth hunt, that many archery hunters had by eyeing all summer long. 13 year old Hayven Willden drew a youth any bull tag. Hayven’s dad says in four days, they didn’t see many elk, never even heard a bugle, but Hayven kept a good attitude and finally with the help of friends, they found this bull and Hayven made a quick stalk and shot to down her first ever elk. Hayven couldn’t understand why all the men in the group were making such a fuss about her 375 inch bull with 27 inch thirds. Needless to say, she pretty stocked now and would like to thank all of her family and friends for helping her back her bull. A memory we hope to help her family remember, as this young lady just won our snapshot of the week.
