[CG :2 LineShane BennettA couple of firsts]
Shane shows off his first ever Pike from Yuba. Shane says he made many casts, before he finally latched into this toothy critter. His buddy Gary also caught his first Yuba Pike. They were throwing perch imitating lures and had many follows to the boat that were according to Shane just as exciting to watch.

Despite the full moon and the crowds Cody still had a great day largemouth fishing down at Sand Hollow. This 19 inch largemouth was just one of many fish that day. Cody says there’s “nothing like spending quality time with good friends on the beautiful waters of Southern Utah.”
[CG :2 LineErik PyperWay to go Megan!]
Erik took his wife Megan down for her first trip to Lake Powell and her first time catching bass. He says he did very little fishing as Megan was catching strippers non-stop. He became the official net boy for their group. He’s afraid that she’ll expect every fishing trip to go this well. They spent four hours filleting their catch, a trip they’ll never forget.

[CG :2 LineTate BrownWINNER!]
But our winner tonight qualified with his biggest bass to date. Tate Brown was fishing the UVU club qualifier at Utah Lake a few weeks ago when he pitched a jig deep into the tules and saw the tules rattle and shake as something big moved towards his bait. He knew it was a bass and by the amount of heaven and hell it moved to get there, he knew it was a big un. Tate says the big bass surfaced like a submarine on nitro fuel as he muscled the six pound, seven ounce beast to the boat. He and his partner not only won the tournament but also just won our big prize from Camp Chef for having…the snapshot of the week.
