We kick it off with this huge eight pound albino trout, eleven year old Braydon caught on spring break. Sandor took his two boys up to Crowthers Reservoir near Malad Idaho. On the last day of fishing, this huge fish hit Braydon’s jakes lure and the fight was on. This was the only fish the family caught but they say it was a great ending to their outing.
Here’s a couple of other bruiser’s Justin and his wife caught over Easter weekend. Justin says, this reservoir is their favorite place to fish, and this time his wife out fished him. Both of these fish were over six pounds. Justin says, they had a lot of fun and iIt as a great way for them to spend time off from school.
Two years ago, Jared shot his first deer. It was bigger than any that his dad has ever taken. This year, the kid is at it again as he bagged his first turkey, the biggest the family has ever taken. Jared and his dad had been chasing a group of turkeys for three days when Jared finally smoked this great tom. The birds beard was a whopping 10 inches long. Six inches longer than the one his dad shot last year.
Our runner up tonight has some amazing shots of a bird that migrates through Utah, the common loon. Larry was up near East Canyon Reservoir and discovered 20 loons diving for food and sounding off with their haunting calls. Larry says, you’ve still got a few weeks left if you want to catch the loons as they head to their nesting areas in Canada and Alaska, but you’d better hurry.
And finally, our winner tonight took a leap of faith and made the jump. Over spring Break, Addison Lane and her family took a trip to the Goblin Valley area. While hiking down Crack Canyon, Addison psyched herself up and took a leap over the subway section of the trail. Addison had a grin on her face as big as a (Chesheer) Cheshire Cat once she made her landing. Dad Bob says, not much beats the rush of knowing you’ve just accomplished something you were a little scared of. Well Addison, your giant leap has landed your family our great prize for having…the snapshot of the week.
