Camp Chef Snapshot of the Week – 8/3/2013

[CG :2 LineKena Toone”Catch you later”]

The Toone family had a great fishing trip to Panguitch lake a few weeks ago. Young Lincoln waited patiently while his brothers and sister took turns catching fish. Finally it was Lincoln’s turn to make his first big catch. After a quick picture, Lincoln safely released the rainbow back into the lake. His shirt, which says “Catch You Later” and his smile says it all.

Seven year old twins Kaprese and Kanese Allinson pose with mess of cats they caught at Utah Lake back in late June. Dad says both girls hooked and reeled in all ten channel cats, no doubt a heck of a fish fry at the Allinson house.

[CG :2 LineBob OchsenbeinBrothers and a buck]

Bob and his brother LaVoy Eborn were hunting in Idaho last fall when LaVoy got up and decided to take a walk. About thirty minutes later two bucks came sneaking through the same area and with a 268 yard shot Bob put the bigger of the two down. The rest was up to the horses to bring the buck and the boys down the mountain.

[CG :2 LineMark PersicoFirst light, first fish]
Mark and his crew left Northern Utah at 1:30 in the morning to make sure they would arrive at Flaming Gorge at first light in hopes of catching the bite. They hadn’t been fishing ten minutes when they latched into this big mack that took them twenty minutes to get in. After a few high fives, some pictures, they sent the big laker back to the depths to live, to fight again.

[CG :2 LineKathy StollWINNER!]

But our winner tonight took their mothers out on the boat and ended up catching some memories that’ll last them a lifetime. Two weeks ago, Lyn and Kathy took their eighty year old mothers Judy and Ileene out to the gorge to do a little sight seeing, they then decided to try their luck at catching some mackinaw. They ended up with five that day, sixteen pounds to just over thirty. Kathy says seeing the excitement in her mother IIeene’s face is a memory she’ll never forget. These pictures go to show that the great outdoors isn’t just for the young, but the for the young at heart. A great story to go along with a great catch as you two ladies, just hauled in our snapshot of the week.

Remember submit your pictures and a brief explanation of your latest outdoor adventures online at KSLTV.com. The winner each week wins a Camp Chef two burner Explorer stove. Portability and Power from our friends at Camp Chef.
