Camp Chef Snapshot of the Week – 8/17/2013

Don’t let the dress fool you, when it comes to fishing, 5 year old Kira means business. Check out the nice channel cat she caught while in Millard County. Not to be outdone, her brother Parker caught this monster cat, even made the front page of the local Newspaper. The eleven pound, thirty three inch fish was caught using sharp cheddar cheese from the Fridge.

Six year old Klint was hunting coyotes with his dad when this jack rabbit decided to stand in one place a little too long. Klint grabbed his brothers pellet gun and made a great 50 yard shot to bag his first ever rabbit. Kyle says the look on his son’s face was priceless. Klint jumped around, gave his dad a big high five and said “now that’s what I’m talking about.” They couldn’t have asked for a better way to end the morning.”

[CG :2 LineScott PounderSaving a buck.]
While working in Davis County last October Scott came across two small bucks tangled up in an electric fence. One had already died and Scott wasn’t about to let the other die. Scott says it was a bit of a rodeo, he got some bumps and bruises, even a small poke in the leg, but he was able to free the buck and says it was well worth it to watch him run away.

[CG :2 LineMichael JacobsenFlipped out!]
Check out these great shots of the Jacobsen family running the Snake River. This is something they’ve done for over two decades, but Michael says this is the first time he’s ever been flipped out! Everyone else in the boat had no idea he was gone, until he surfaced in front of them.

[CG :2 LineJosh HardmanWINNER!]
and finally our winner tonight caught this great shot of dad and trout in a tussle over a treble hook. Josh and his family decided to take a relaxing fishing trip to their families cabin up near Joe’s Valley Reservoir. While there they stopped at Mary’s lake and dad Mick, caught this nice rainbow. Mom, Karen insisted on a picture and just as she snapped the shot, the fish jumped out of Mick’s hands and lodged a small treble hook into his finger. The finger was fine, and Mick’s family couldn’t help but laugh hysterically at the sight of his face when the fish took it’s big leap. A great moment for the Hardman family and we hope to help you remember it, as Mick just caught our snapshot of the week.
