We kick it off with a great story about a dad and his boys. Back in July, Tyler took time to teach his sons the basics of fishing and promptly took them to the river to test their skills. Within minutes both boys were into fish, but Ty had latched into the biggest of the day, this nice brown, nearly twice the size of dear old dads. Tyler says, their day on the river is one he hopes his boys always remember as the day dad taught them about the outdoors.

Ryan had a few unsuccessful trips out on his float tube at the Berry, but that didn’t stop his son Hunter from wanting to join in on the fun. Hunter ended up hooking into a nice fish. Dad and another friend couldn’t stop laughing as young Hunter tried to land the beast. Hunter had the last laugh as he hoisted this fine 23 and a half inch cutt.

Lorie sent us these shots of her husband and her son on Bowtrie’s first hunting trip with dad. Bowtrie wanted to hunt warthogs, but, he was still pretty pleased with his dads tasty buck.

Kody took his wife and kids to the Desert Reserve to hopefully see a tortoise. 5 year old LilyAnn spotted the first wildlife, this baby California King Snake. Bummed that they hadn’t seen a tortoise, the Callister crew was on their way back to the car when the kids spotted this little guy, under the rock basking in the fading sun. Kody says, it is the best family picture they’ve ever had.

But our winner tonight brought his two boys Spencer and Owen back to his childhood home. Scott grew up in Utah, but moved to Kansas City a few years ago. This past summer the family returned home, loaded up the boys and headed off to dad’s old stomping grounds at Mirror lake. His two boys had a blast, caught some great tiger trout and brook trout. Scott says he’s glad his boys experienced what he always enjoyed growing up in Utah.
