Native American with Cerebral Palsy Gets a Dream Bison Hunt

Tanner Powless is a Native American from the Navajo and Oneida tribes. He also has cerebral palsy and is confined to a wheelchair. Despite his limitations, Tanner has always dreamed of harvesting a bison, which is something that his family hasn’t done in 200 years. So sportsmen, along with organizations like Kennedy’s Hugs and The Bison Boys, came together to give Tanner his dream bison hunt on a ranch in Idaho. But this is more than just a hunt for Tanner, because harvesting a bison is something personal and spiritual for himself and his ancestors.
