Starting this year, Utah will require all OHV operators 18 and older to complete a new, free Utah OHV Education Course to operate an OHV on public land, road or trail. This course was designed to educate. The course was developed by members of OHV groups in the state who were seeing first-time riders and others who didn’t follow the law or weren’t respecting Utah’s natural resources. Snowmobile operators, farmers, guided tours and sanctioned OHV events are exempt. You can take the free course online at OHV.utah.gov. It only takes about 30 minutes to complete, and you only have to do it once in a lifetime. Once completed, print out the certificate or take a photo of it and have it on hand when you head out on your next ride.
