Wildlife Murals Popping Up Around Utah

If you’re driving on 21st south and 20th East in Sugar House and you think you see a trout on a building, well you do. It’s part of a collaboration between artist Chris Peterson and the Utah Wildlife Federation. The goal is to paint Utah wildlife murals in all 29 counties in the state. One of the first is the Bonneville Cutthroat Trout on the wall of the Neighborhood Hive, a local market that supports local business and products. Dilworth Elementary 4th graders who participate in Trout Unlimited’s trout in the classroom program were invited to get the first glimpse of the mural, and learn about native fish from DWR biologists. The program is looking for buildings and funding to continue the project. If you want to learn more about how you can get involved, contact Chris at chrispetersonstudio.com
