Morning sunrise over Electric Lake, with dark clouds rolling in and the horizon glowing red and orange behind the pines.
“Dawn’s Fire and Bow over Electric Lake” Taken during an early-morning archery hunt over Electric Lake, this photograph captures a rare rainbow glowing against a fiery sunrise. The stillness of the rugged mountain terrain contrasts with the brilliant arc of color, creating a moment where wilderness and light meet in perfect harmony.
My pregnant wife reeled in a 10lb wiper and showed us all up! My daughter didn’t know what to think of the fish though.

This year we had the opportunity with a group of friends to purchase the Kenai River Suites in Soldotna, Alaska. We were able to go up in July and fish the most prolific sockeye run in recorded history. Over 4.2 million “Reds” entered the river this summer. The fishing was absolutely off the wall and it was amazing to host people form across the country, but the icing on the cake was a front row seat to a squabble between 2 boar grizzlies from 30 feet away during a fly out to Big River Lake. With the abundance of fish they didn’t even acknowledge our presence. It was a thrilling encounter. (I emailed the video to you via Mail Drop. Hope it worked!)

2025 archery buck. This is Haden Madsen’s first buck with a bow! He was lucky enough to draw a limited entry archery tag this year and after help scouting from some very good friends, Haden was ready to put the stalk on! This fine buck was the result of hard work, a great stalk and a good shot.
Beautiful day at flaming gorge thanks to my uncle Russell Muir from Roosevelt Utah

Son catching his first fish(tiger trout) on his first backpack trip to wall lake in the uintas. No one believe him that he had a fish on because we had so many snags and lost many lures.
