Our twin boys, Brooks and Brance, wanted to celebrate the 4th of July with a little fishing on the river. They caught some smallmouth bass and catfish before the fireworks. Even the northern Utah sky was celebrating the holiday.
Sitka Fishing First time ever, wanted to experience this thrill after being invited by our North Carolina friends (greg & joni), Greg was a bush pilot in Alaska a few decades back. King & Coho salmon, halibut, and rockfish were our quarry. Caught plenty of everything & kept halibut under 50 lb weight, releasing two that were well in excess of 100lbs each. A fantastic experience to enjoy with friends, but always good to be back home in Utah.

30 pound Mac caught on a beautiful July day at Flaming Gorge, UT.
Camping at Fairview on Skyline on July4th. Our dog Kiki watching the sunset in our 1948 Willy. She loves to ride around the mountain in the jeep.
Jackson was fishing at Ottercreek with his family, and caught this nice rainbow with his brand new pole. The smile on his face is priceless.
With only 2 points, Waylon cashed in all his lucky chips and drew his first bear tag. Between gathering all the needed bait, preparing the bait sites, packing in the bait almost daily, and checking cameras, this hunt became a family affair! After a lot of hard work, sweat, laughs, a few close encounters, and a ton of time Waylon was able to harvest this awesome, scar faced boar. Nothing could wipe the smile off his face once the trigger was pulled! This bear hunt was no joke, but what an opportunity made even better because he did it surrounded by family. Definitely a hunt for the books!
