We had gotten to Porcupine reservoir early Saturday morning to catch some kokanee we had just landed one kokanee and still setting the rest of our lines out. We saw the pole go off the downrigger and knew it was something else! Man we weren’t kidding! When he made it to the surface the excitement took over! Missed the first try to land him in the net and back down he went. He wasn’t about to give in! A few tries later We were eventually able to get this beautiful 24 inch 5 lb brown trout in the net!! Man this was a rush! We couldnt stop talking about that fish for the next couple hours! The kokanee fishing did not disappoint either we were able to boat 17 kokanee in the next few hours and lots of laughs from the toddler in the boat who thought the fish were so cool! He was so fascinated with them and laughed as they would flop in the boat! A day on the water we won’t forget!

Second ever mirror carp and one of the first fish I’ve ever caught in bear lake. I was told about this site and I just caught this guy today, figured I’d try my hand at this submission!
We have been through Zion National Park hundreds of times and never seen any Bighorn Sheep. But after a long day of sightseeing we decided to drive through Zion National Park with our daughter and son in law. Van Gibson was the one that seen the herd and had us pull over. There were at least 2-3 rams, 3-5 ewes and a couple of kids. What a sight to watch them eat the leaves in the trees, we even watch one of the kids suckle his mom. Best drive through Zion National Park ever!

Every year for 15 years we go camping in the High Uintas to escape the heat in the Salt Lake Valley. In July of 2021 we were able to capture some sweet pictures of a den of 3 new kit foxes. It was a highlight of our trip to the High Uintas. In 2022 we didn’t see them, but in July of 2023 they were back with a new bigger litter! We were far enough away not to bother them, but that also means that the pixels on the photo may not be good enough to blow up on the TV. It warms my heart that the momma came back! The first picture I’ll upload (20230724_203849) is from 2023. The other two are from 2021.
