Silo’s first hunt was the rifle deer hunt that started out with excitement and hope to get his first deer. As the day went on and not seeing any bucks we saw a grouse on a log, his uncle asked him if he wanted to shoot it. Without a second to ask a second time silo was already out of the side by side and said yes. He shot it. He handed mom the gun and his uncle Dusty told him there was another one, he shot that one that triggered a third one to fly up and he shot that one. . So in about 30 seconds he had three grouse. This totally made up for not seeing any bucks let alone getting his first deer. Not sure who was more excited Silo or his Uncle Dusty Later that day he shot his limit. The smile on his face says the first day of his first hunt was a success even if wasn’t killing a deer. The picture during the day is the first three. Then the limit at night

I always tease my grandchildren that when they catch a fish they have to kiss it. This little granddaughter was not even going to touch it. Her cute little face shows it all. One of our best fishing memories ever on the Boulder mountain near Escalante Utah.
