Adam, Here is the bull we watched together after meeting on the second day of the hunt. After 27 years I had the chance to hunt this awesome old bull and was able to harvest him the day after we met. The highlight of the hunt was having both my boys with me to experience it all. We spent the day watching this bull bed, change beds, rut some cows, and chase off a smaller bull until he finally presented me with an opportunity. We didn’t see a lot of elk on this hunt, but thought this could be the one when we first saw him while scouting earlier in the year. I was more focused on the experience than the score of this bull, but was in awe of the sheer mass and size of this bull when we got to lay eyes on him up close. He ended up measuring 377 3/8 unofficially and I couldn’t be more happy. This was an experience me and my boys have dreamed about for years. So blessed to finally have it happen.

The best part about the Muzzle load hunt this year was harvesting this young buck with my 3 year old granddaughter by my side. All I can hope is we can share the love of the outdoors with generations to come. Another grandmother granddaughter shared moment!
Me (Ryan), my brother Kyle and my cousin Josh bought are first duck boat this summer. We were so excited we took the boat out as much as we can to scout and get a feel for the boat. We went out Friday after the byu game and stayed out on the lake all night. We had a tarp to help keep us dry from all the rain we got, but the tarp had holes in it. It was all worth it in the end cause we almost got a three man limit. Me and my brother shot are limits, my cousin just needed one more duck to get his limit. This is by far the best opener we have ever had! We love are 16 foot boat and are so excited we bought it. Looking forward to more hunts like this!
My son Jaxon Bates got his first elk. Killed it on a crazy cliff . Never seen elk hanging out on the edge of a cliff turned out to be killer photos

After 20 years of applying for a LE elk permit I was able to draw a tag. On opening morning I passed a 5-point bull and then spent the next three days trying to find a bigger bull with no luck. On the fourth morning everything changed. Bulls that had been quite all week were now screaming. We had bulls bugling all around us. As soon as my son stared to cow call he was answered by a bull so close it felt like the ground was shaking. We saw the bulls antlers above the sage as he made his way up the hill towards us. The bull bugled one last time before giving me the shot I needed.

September has always been a very special time of year for me. Making so many memories spending time with friends and family. This year was so extraordinary! I got the buck of a lifetime on an Utah general season muzzleloader tag!
