My wife and I were visiting her sister in Summerlin, Nevada, and I was out watching the different wildlife in the 50 yard wide gulley between her house and the golf course. I noticed the quails starting with their alert call. I didn’t think much of it until I saw all of the jackrabbits start running at full speed up the gulley. Out of the corner of my eye I saw what at first I thought was a couple of German shepherds (by their size), at about 15 yards from me, but when I took a second look an I saw these two coyotes trying to flush a rabbit out of the bush. When it ran past them one of the coyotes decided to mark his territory before heading off. The wind was right in my face so I was able to watch them acting their natural way. I watched and took pictures as they continued up the gully out of sight.

While fishing on strawberry today (10/13) we were able to get up close and personal with the planes bringing water out to the Yellow Lake fire. The pilots saw us with multiple fish on and it will definitely be a day trip to remember.

I was on day 10 of my DIY elk hunt in the Grouse creek unit. I saw this bull run over a ridge. It took several hours to get in range. I was lucky enough to put a good shot on this old warrior bull. Most of his tines are broken from fighting, but he has 8 countable points on the right and 6 on the left. ( at least 2 broken off on the left) Such an amazing experience and an amazing animal!!
Greetings! My husband, Chandler, and I took advantage of the unseasonably warm fall weekend and went kayak fishing at East Canyon State Park! We were there bright and early, first at the ramp, and first on the water. Even though Chandler caught the first fish, I still pulled out the biggest of the day!! I’m used to small, stream brookies, so this was the biggest trout ive ever caught!
