Snapshot of the week? I think these are snapshots of a lifetime!! I booked my trip to New Zealand in 2019 as a retirement gift to myself. Unfortunately, Covid hit and I wasn’t able to go until this year. Waiting four years for the Hunt of a lifetime is extremely hard but it was well worth the wait. I spent a few days in Kaikura, swimming with dolphins and boating with the albatross before hitting to High Peak Station for my Hunt. The dusky dolphins swam so close you could reach out and touch them. Nothing could prepare me for the amazing scenery and spectacle of animals that we found at high Peak Station. I was able to find a white stag that I hunted for the next three days. I was finally able to locate him and a 200 yard shot sealed the deal. We then chased tar in the most amazing country I’ve ever been in and luckily had weather to allow some great pictures as well. There’s nothing like hunting a Himalayan Tahr on their own turf. Truly a trip of a lifetime for the snapshots of a lifetime.
Thousands of goldfish make their way to the shallows in April and May making it the perfect time to go out and bowfish. It is illegal and very destructive to release your pet fish into the wild. When released into the wild goldfish have the ability to spawn every 4 weeks; outcompeting and starving out other fish species. Like carp they will also make the water very murky and nasty looking.
East Canyon Reservoir – Great fishing day on May 4, 2024, Saturday around noon time fishing with a friend off the bank using a green minnow fly I caught this beautiful gorgeous 24 inch rainbow trout. The largest rainbow trout I’ve ever caught. It was a great day for Fishing ….my hats off to East Canyon Reservoir and the fishing rangers. Also, thank you KSL outdoors I watch your program every week! It is totally awesome. Note: The first photo shows a better picture of the fish spread out. But do you choose whichever one you decide for photo of the week! Happy Fishing Fred Lewis
Fishing Arizona and didn’t catch a fish that day and we were out there from 10-5 without a fish and then we went to a spot talked to some locals and got info how they caught them and so we did the same caught fish and I caught my personal best large mouth 4.2 pounds
Starting a new generation of fisherman. We took our 5 month old Isla (eye – la) to watch dad catch some fish, she was so excited every time I reeled one in. She loved exploring nature and seeing the totally new world to her.

This is my wife of 45 years and our dog Turd Man out shed hunting, enjoying the outdoors.
Jaxxon learned to bugle for elk before he was able to walk at a the young age of 9 months . Now he likes going out with his dad to find horns. But he’s eagerly waiting for grandpa with 28 points to draw his limited entry elk tag . He plans on calling in the bull for grandpa on this once in a lifetime chance of grandpa harvesting a trophy bull elk..
While golfing at Highland Falls Golf Course in Las Vegas Nevada this coyote passed by our tee box. He has chosen a beautiful domain to reside in highlighting how adaptive coyotes are. Definitely enhanced the experience. March 22/2024 at 0936 in the morning.
My 11 yr old son (Kayden) caught this 4.5 lb/20″ Tiger Trout in Nevada.
Went fishing with my fishing buddies on the salmon river in Idaho. Out of four of us we only caught 2 steelhead. Love fishing with my friends there great.
21 years of waiting for this tag finally paid off! I drew a Panguitch Lake middle season elk tag in 2023 and managed to be in the right place opening morning with my son, Taylor and a brand new hunter, Braiden. Taylor and I scouted all summer for this opportunity of a life time. Without his help I would not be the elated elk hunter. It was an amazing day filled with so many good memories and help from others we did not know, but jumped in to help no questions asked
