21 years of waiting for this tag finally paid off! I drew a Panguitch Lake middle season elk tag in 2023 and managed to be in the right place opening morning with my son, Taylor and a brand new hunter, Braiden. Taylor and I scouted all summer for this opportunity of a life time. Without his help I would not be the elated elk hunter. It was an amazing day filled with so many good memories and help from others we did not know, but jumped in to help no questions asked

6 Tom turkeys were holding a meeting in front of a neighbor’s home. I had to sneak up on them from across the street keeping the neighbor’s truck between me and them. I call it Turkey Dominance Diplomacy.
While hiking with my father we came across this pair of majestic bull moose in N. Utah. We were able to watch them for ~ 30 minutes and take in their magnificent size and beauty. What an amazing experience on my birthday with my dad. We went back later in the fall and were able to capture another big pair together. 2 really fun trips.

I used to take my trail cameras down during the winter because the elk and mule deer would move out for the winter. This year, I decided to leave them up for security reasons for people and animals. There is a lot of predators running around these hills to include this lion that came within 100 yards of the cabin. But at least he outsmarted the lion hounds that I saw on camera lol.
