Last Setember on the opening morning of the youth hunt, 15 year old Kylee Jo of Hooper pulled up on the first flock of geese only to find she couldn’t get her safety off and get a shot. She didn’t make that mistake again. The next two flocks, Kylee got her three birds and the last goose was banded. Grandpa Lawrence says it was a great morning.

It doesn’t matter if it’s open water or on the ice, five year old Ethan loves to fish with his dad. He baits his own hook, even reels in his own fish. Here he is with a nice bow from Rockport and two more from the local community pond. A chip off the ol block.
