Camp Chef Snapshot of the Week – 10/26/2013

[CG :2 LineCorby Hansen2 for 2.]
We start with some success off of this years muzzleloader hunt. Corby and his oldest daughter had a great day on the opening day up Fairview Canyon. This is Corby’s largest buck in 26 years and Leticia (lateesha) also bagged a buck, her first with one shot. Leticia is in College and dad knows these years of hunting with his daughter may not last so this was an especially memorable hunt together.

While fishing with her husband up at the gorge, Lynette battled this 43 inch laker before brining him aboard. The fish had a lot of energy left in it and when went to take a picture. Lynette threatened her husband not to show the picture to anyone since she didn’t like the look on her face. It is obvious her husband Justin didn’t listen.

Braden and his dad had a great dove opener, shooting nine birds between the two of them. This was the first time back in the field for Braden after having surgery 6 weeks earlier. Braden says, “It was great to be feeling better and even better to be back in the field!”

At just two years old, Van is already quite the fisherman. Here he is helping dad release a pink salmon they caught on Willow Creek up in Alaska. Mom and dad say van learned to work a reel when he was just 8 months old and caught his first trout before his second birthday.

[CG :2 LineGraci ManzanaresWINNER!]
But our winner tonight finally achieved her goal after two years of hunting. Twelve year old Graci loves to hunt with her family. Check out this boatload of smiles on the youth opener last September. Graci hunted the morning, but had to leave early because she had a soccer game. Back that afternoon, she had this hen mallard come in tight to the spread and Graci sealed the deal with her first ever bird. Graci says she was at first a little shy of the gun, but now, she can’t wait to hunt again, especially with her dad Mike. Congrats kid, that is a moment you’ll remember for the rest of your life and to help you…were sending your family our big prize from Camp Chef for having, our snapshot of the week.

Remember submit your pictures and a brief explanation of your latest outdoor adventures online at KSLTV.com. The winner each week wins a Camp Chef two burner Explorer stove. Portability and Power from our friends at Camp Chef.
