Camp Chef Snapshot of the Week – 10/29/2011

At last years Western Hunting and Conservation Expo, Rick got lucky
and drew a Fish Lake archery elk tag. He scouted a ton, hunted his
tail off and had some close encounters with some great bulls. On an
evening hunt, he was able to call this big typical to within 30 yards
and MISSED!, the bull ran off, but returned to Rick’s cow calling and
luck continued as he was able to seal the deal.

Zach was out scouting for this years deer hunt when he came across
this monster muley taking a mid morning nap. Zach says the buck was on
public land, but the spot is secret and he’s keeping to himself. No
word if Zach was able to put his tag on this brute, but I’m sure there
are a lot of guys who would love to help him out.

Three year old Presley had quite the trip on her first fishing
excursion to the berry. She was there with her dad, grandpa, and great
grandpa. The 4 generations caught more fish than they have ever
before, Presley caught nine all by herself. Dad Randy says clearly his
daughter is the good luck charm they’ve been looking for.

Brothers, Josh and Jeremy took their nephew Isaac up to Murdock Basin
in the High Unita’s back in July in search of the rare Golden trout.
Isaac proceeded to put on a clinic catching over 20 nice sized brook
trout. He then schooled them all by landing this beautiful Golden.
Quite an accomplishment for a ten year old boy, considering most Utah
fishermen have never even seen a Golden trout from Utah. Isaac
couldn’t stop smiling after his catch.

Check out this beautiful shot of this black bear high atop this
ponderosa pine that High Top Outfitters found on the Mount Dutton
Unit. Brady, Brett and Jay were guiding the hunt when their dogs blew
up and treed this bear in one of the Duttons steep, little canyons.
The bear was harvested by Kevin Christensen and I’m sure the it’ll
make a great addition to his trophy room.

But our winner tonight is fresh from the kitchen. 14 year old Regan
has been trying his hand at making home-made lures and was anxious to
give them a spin. Two weeks ago found the family up at the berry and
boy did Regan knock them dead!. Paul says his son was one happy boy
knowing he could turn one of moms kitchen spoons into such a prolific
fish catcher. Just don’t tell mom where all her spoons have been
disappearing to…Well Regan, here’s something to stock your mothers
shelves with our great prize from Camp Chef for having the snapshot of
the week.

Remember send your pictures and a brief explanation of your latest
