Snapshot of the Week: Aug. 29, 2015

We kick it off with a determined young man. After nearly five hours of casting, Parker hooked into a fat yellow perch and just as he brought it to shore, this huge pike came out of nowhere and grabbed it taking Parker for the ride of his life. Parker finally landed this northern, his first, that stretched the tape to 38 inches.

Out on summer break, Carly who is a teacher went on a trip to Yellowstone National Park and found this sow grizzly with her two cubs just 30 minutes inside the park. Carly says she took this picture of the bears from her car, an unforgettable experience.

This is Scott’s huge, general season, public land, open bull that he took on the opener of the archery season. Scott says they put this magnificent bull to bed the night before and the next morning Scott put himself smack dab in front of this monarch. A perfectly placed 47 yard shot and only 30 yards later, Scott put his hands on this 365 inch Pope and Young Bull.

Tyler Clark and his 8 year old son Traigun Clark tagged out opening morning of the archery elk hunt as well. This was Traiguns first big game hunting experience and he got to witness everything from the shot to the bulls final resting place. Tyler says his son loved every minute of it.

But our winner tonight could hardly sleep before the hunt. Ten year old Easton was on a Wyoming antelope hunt with his dad and uncle Doggie. Dad says with the excitement and energy of his ten year old they had a weekend of their lives. They saw a bunch of animals, experienced some amazing sunsets, but most of all made some memories that will last forever. Kevin can’t wait for Easton to draw a tag, because Easton hopes to get an even bigger goat than his dads. A great story boys, worthy of our big prize, as you guys have just won…our snapshot of the week.
